Pack Walks and Training Sessions
Pack Walks and Training Sessions are mutually agreed upon based on the optimal fit for your dog considering factors including as physical and behavioural needs. Pack Walks are a weekly commitment and designed to ensure consistency for all dogs within the pack and foster a safe environment for both dogs and handler alike.
Pack Walks will typically run for 1.5 to 2 hours (excluding travel time). Please note that the hours for Pack Walks may be adjusted based on weather conditions. During the peak of summer, Pack Walks may commence earlier to ensure the wellbeing of the canines. In the event of adverse weather conditions such as high winds and heavy rain, Pack Walks may be cancelled for the safety and comfort of the canines. If you have pre-paid for the service and a pack walk is cancelled due to weather, your account will be credited accordingly.
Invoices
Invoices are sent at the start of the week prior to your dogs walk, due by the Friday prior to your dogs next walk. In the event of overdue accounts (7 days or more) a late penalty of $10 per overdue walk applies. Overdue accounts will have all services suspended until payment is cleared in full.
Cancellations
This service is a weekly commitment. Should you choose for your dog to not attend you will still be charged for their walk. This is to hold their place in the pack.
Cancellations for illness or injury should be made as soon as possible via text message to 021 400 470.
If we arrive to collect your dog and they’re not home, the full pack walk rate applies and will not be credited.
Holidays
Tricky Dog does not operate on Public Holidays or over the Christmas - New Year Period but operates as normal throughout the year including school holidays. We are a small business and cannot afford to have revenue drop every 8-10 weeks for school holidays with dogs being absent.
If your dog will be absent for periods longer than a week, a maintenance fee of 50% of the standard rate applies to hold your dogs place in the pack until they return. Payment is required in full before resuming the regular service of Pack Walks.
End of Service
A notice period of two weeks must be given in writing if you wish to cancel your commitment for Pack Walks.
Cancellation with no notice will result in a charge of 2 weeks worth of Pack Walks. This is to ensure enough time is provided to fill your dogs place within the pack without too much financial stress for Tricky Dog. Please understand this is a small business and my livelihood relies on clients acting in a fair manner.
Vaccinations and Council Registration
The owner must provide copies of the dogs vaccination book showing proof of Kennel Cough, Parvovirus and Lepto shots all being up to date. The owners understands that no services will be provided by Tricky Dog without this evidence.
The owner must ensure the dog is up to date with council registration and that the current years tag is attached to the dogs collar. The collar must be worn for all services involving Tricky Dog . For any dogs e-collar trained it is the owners responsibility both units are fully charged prior to the adventure. If the dogs place in the pack is conditional upon being e-collar trained, serviced may be refused if the units are not kept fully charged and in working order. Tricky Dog does not accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries caused as a result of equipment failure.
Conflict of Interest
Throughout the duration of your engagement with Tricky Dog, we strongly advise Clients refrain from using other similar services such as Dog Trainers and Pack Walkers unless discussed prior. Different training methods and allowing your dog to be in other environments can be hugely stressful and confusing and may cause behavioural concerns. For assistance with specific training or requests for boarding facilities we are happy to suggest other businesses we know and love.
We acknowledge that some clients may require the support of both Tricky Dog and other dog daycares. In such cases, we request the name of the additional facility and reserve the right to temporarily pause or terminate our services if there are behavioural changes observed or instances of sickness such as kennel cough. This measure ensures the well-being of all dogs under our care and maintains the quality of service provided by Tricky Dog.
